Communications
The Communications
Committee is responsible for communications to Oregon
referees. This includes managing the ORC website and publishing an electronic newsletter from time to time. The Committee also will prepare and publish
brochures and/or training materials on various subjects. The Committee will regularly coordinate with other ORC team members.

Shana
Saavedra is the Chair of the Communications Committee. She is an
active USSF official, assignor and instructor. She developed and continues to
coordinate the Oregon Youth Soccer Referee Academy and mentor programs
and strives to improve youth officiating and support youth officials. She served
as a volunteer referee liaison and translator for 1999 and 2003 Women’s World
Cup games in Portland and has attended many regional and national youth
soccer conventions and workshops.
