Probably the first thing you should do, if you have not done so already, is read the requirements for the grade you are seeking, which are found in the Referee Administrative Handbook.

In Oregon, we ask that you contact the State Referee Administrator to indicate your desire to seek upgrade. Be prepared. For example, have a list of the games that qualify you to move to the next grade.

After we hear from you, we will verify that you have met the applicable requirements so far and that you really are ready to proceed. We will also try to answer your questions and do what we can to help you succeed.

ATTENTION GRADE 4 REFEREES AND ABOVE ONLY:
Any referee who is Grade 4 or above must register for ANY Badge (referee instructor, assessor) and pay directly through the USSF website for ALL of your badges.
For example, if you are a grade 4 referee and a grade 7 assessor, you must register directly with USSF for both your referee and assessor badges.
